An ode to regal tradition, this Kanchipuram saree is woven in a striking Mayilkazhuthu Pachai hue - a dual-toned symphony of blue and green, inspired by the iridescent neck of a peacock. Crafted from pure silk and adorned with 3 grams of pure gold zari, it is as much a jewel as it is a drape.
The body is scattered with delicate Mayil Kann motifs - “the peacock’s eye” - symbolising vision, grace, and auspiciousness. The radiant red rattai pettu border glows with intricate Annam motifs in real zari, evoking purity and sacred elegance.
The pallu is a woven epic - rich with Yali, the mythical creature that blends the strength of a lion, the wisdom of an elephant, and the mystique of a serpent. Alongside it, Yanai, Kuthirai, and Annam motifs unfold like temple sculptures brought to life in silk.
