Step into timeless elegance with Oppol’s Kasumala Design Mundum Neriyathum, a handwoven masterpiece inspired by one of Kerala’s most cherished ornaments – the Kasumala.

The Kasumala (literally “garland of coins”) is a traditional Kerala necklace crafted from a string of intricately designed gold coins. For generations, it has been more than just jewellery - it is a symbol of prosperity, femininity, and auspicious beginnings, often gifted to brides as part of their wedding trousseau. Its gleam carries blessings of abundance, while its rhythmic pattern reflects harmony and continuity in life.

In this Mundum Neriyathum, Oppol reimagines the Kasumala motif in handloom, translating its golden radiance into woven kasavu designs. Each coin-like motif is meticulously handwoven with half-fine kasavu, making the fabric itself an ornament to be draped. This design celebrates the fusion of textile and jewellery traditions of Kerala, offering not just attire but a cultural heirloom. The body has kasavu stripes.

Crafted in Unakkupavu cotton with lustrous kasavu work, this Mundum Neriyathum embodies luxury rooted in devotion and artistry. Whether worn during weddings, temple festivals, or grand celebrations, it reflects the wearer’s pride in heritage and fine taste in craftsmanship.
